Western Australia’s Black Swan State Theatre Company has announced its 2013 season and one of the plays will be starring Claire!
Claire will return home to Perth in November 2013 to star in “Midsummer (A Play with Songs), a play by David Greig and Gordon McIntyre, which will also star Brendan Hanson (I Will Survive) and will be directed by Damon Lockwood.
The Black Swan Theatre Company describes Midsummer (A Play with Songs) as:
Helena is a divorce lawyer who can’t keep her hands off other women’s husbands. Bob is a small time crook who is getting far too old to be on the wrong side of the law. They meet in a bar on a Friday night. They have nothing in common and should never sleep with each other. But they do.
Their one night stand turns into a crazy and wonderful weekend full of ruined weddings, bags of money, car chases, Japanese rope bondage, sex and stubborn hangovers.
Punctuated by devious and wistful songs on guitar and ukulele, Midsummer [a play with songs] suggests that anyone can reinvent themselves and take their life in a new direction if they only chose to do so.
Even though the play is still a year away, details for tickets and subscriptions are already available at the Black Swan Theatre Company’s official site. General tickets will apparently be made available for the play at a closer date via Ticketek.
The details of the play are:
